NOTES for cadets selected to represent Wing
Ø If you are selected for an Inter-Wing event this takes precedence over ALL other cadet activities except flying and gliding.
Ø If you come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the final of an event, in Athletics or Swimming, or in the first 6 of the Cross Country, make sure you are available for the corresponding Inter Wing event, which is generally within a month of the Inter Sqn event.
Ø If you are attending a trial make sure you are available for the Inter-Sqn/Region or Corps event before attending the trial.
Ø You will be required to wear Wedgewoods, when attending an Inter-Wing event.
Ø The same system applies to selection or non-attendance if you are selected for Region and Corps events.
Non attendance
Ø Do not say you can attend the Inter-Wing event and pull out later, or go to a trial knowing that you cannot attend the Inter-Wing event.
Ø Make sure of your availability before attending the trials or Inter-Squadron event.
Ø Sports: If you cannot attend you MUST contact the Wing PEdO or OIC as soon as you know. Even if this is on the day, as it will mean the coach is not waiting for you to turn up.
Other events: Contact the OIC as soon as you know.
Ø If you are a non-travelling reserve you may get a last minute call to represent Wing. In these circumstances do not feel that you have to attend if you cannot.
