Squadron Padre's Discussion
Tonight, the Squadron Padre visited and had a very intriguing and meaningful discussion with the cadets. He also held a small meditation session where he lit a candle and prayed, and had a "Balloon Debate" where cadets played the parts of celebrities in a sinking Hot Air Balloon, and had to vote for the celebrity they thought should be "Ditched" to help the balloon stay afloat!
Below the cadets can be seen voting that Kylie Minogue should be thrown out of the balloon instead of Graham Norton and The Archbishop of Canterbury!
Also this evening, five cadets were enrolled into 1582 squadron. Our Padre also takes care of this as it provides the cadets with a better chance to feel proud, and quite rightly! They are enrolled into 1582 Squadron Air Cadets!
As you can see, the cadets really enjoy the Reverend John Guest's approach to the evenings when he visits, and always come out thinking deeply about the discussion of the evening. Thank you so much Reverend, and we hope to continue to see you in the future!
