The Hope Committee Quiz
On 28th February 2003, a few members of the CWC (Civilian Welfare Committee) at 1582 Squadron went along to a quiz hosted by members of the Hope Committee.
The team comprised a full complement of players, including a cadet, members of the committee, parents, staff, a civilian instructor and me, our webmaster! One member of our committee also made up another team on the evening.
Needless to say, the other team came fifth out of twenty-two teams, and our team came joint-third with 98 points out of 130! We did have a helping hand, however, as a couple of questions came up that we were able to answer quite quickly, like, "Who was the RAF Airman who...?" or, "In aviation...."!
There was also a raffle, and a mini-draw to win some money after donating to charity.
As usual, the event was a success, everyone came away happy, and we will certainly see more fun events like this arise in the future.
