A Dickensian Evening in Corringham

Once a year, the citizens of Corringham town centre get together to raise money in a "Dickensian Evening", where all helpers (and most shopkeepers, too!) will dress in a manner similar to that of the Dickensian period. The cadets were there to help (as usual) and to raise money. Below are some images to try and give you an idea of the atmosphere on the evening.

Here Corporal Gardner helps a young visitor with one of the attractions the committee helped to organise

Santa visited - there were opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy themselves and help raise some money!
Cadets Thomas and Meacham posing for the camera (they should be helping to re-direct people who have lost their way!)
Some of the committee looking bright and cheery! (At about 3 degrees Celsius, helping people dressed as dickensian-age characters to operate the various paraphernalia without gloves...while looking cheery is no mean feat)

More members of the civilian committee, without whom most of the precious funds raised for the cadets and the local community would be greatly reduced.
