    "It was great to get together on Saturday evening for dinner. The guys in their shirts and bow ties and the girls in their evening dresses; every one looked very smart.

    We sat down for our meals at around ten past eight. We had our starters and got to pull our crackers. Cpl Whale won a fish that rolled up if you were shy etc. He didn't like it rolling up so he sat there and folded it into four. By the time he had sat there with his fish he hadn't noticed everyone was finished and he rushed to eat his dinner!

    We made a toast to the queen and we got to listen to the Padre's facts that he had found out. He also told us the story of Jerry and his positive attitude towards everything.

    After the meal was over, we sat down for a quiz where the CO read questions from the trivial pursuits game. Sgt Bagshaw eventually won the quiz, but only just.

    Overall the night was enjoyable and I'd like to thank every one who made the night possible.
