Christmas dinner
"I was picked to be ‘vice’. This meant that after the meal I had to toast the queen.
The food was great! I had prawn cocktail for starter, for the main course I had turkey, potatoes, and vegetables, and for dessert I had peach flan. I would like to thank the committee who cooked the food!"

"On the 7th December, 1582 Stanford-le-hope squadron held their annual Christmas dinner. For the dress, male cadets have to wear a white shirt, a black bowtie, either school trousers or their cadet trousers and smart black shoes. The females have to wear an evening dress. This year was better planned than last year, and the food was delicious. This evening the committee members and staff cooked and served the food to the cadets. I was invited as corporal Bagshaw's guest for the evening. The NCOs and the guest of honour sit on the top table. The guest of honour for this evening was Reverend Guest. The NCOs are allowed to bring a guest to the dinner."
