On the 14th of may, 8 members of our sqn took part on the Condovers weekend! We met up at the hall and we were made to check our kit! Everybody had everything, we were then briefed by the CO in safety and how to work out our route cards.

    After sorting out our route cards we set off. On the way there in the first group was Sgt Bagshaw, Cdt Law, Cdt Catlin, joining us on our walk was Mr Bissell and of course yours truly! We took a slow steady walk there and had 3 main check points, on which members of staff waited for us.

    When we got to Condovers we took the time in sorting out the tents and putting them up. Half way through setting them up the other group (Cpl Meacham, Cdt Costen, Cdt Goodman and Cdt Stevenson) turned up after finishing their walk. After the tents were set up, (at the same time being attacked by scouts) we went of to look for fire wood, for the camp fire.

    The evening went well with a few fun activities such as hide-and-seek and losing Cpl Meacham in the trees, and also looking at our navigation skills. We had potatoes and marsh-mallows before bedtime!

    In the morning some of us were up bright and early for the long walk back, others enjoyed the extra lie-in!

    The walking back was the funniest thing ever! First of all trying to carry the packs and falling on our backs, and then trying to stand up was also very funny, trust me I know! The route didn't go as well as planned but in the end the 8 of us stayed together.
