Inter-Squadron Athletics

A relatively successful day.

Cadet Hill won the Class B Boys 100 metres and Cadet Austen came second in the Class B Boys Long Jump. There was an excellent team effort in the Class B Boys 4*100 metre Relay, by Cdt Hill, Cpl Robinson, Cdt Austen and Cdt Ford-Lissenden, with a exceptional piece of bend running on the 2nd leg by Cdt Austen, which resulted in a gold medal. Cpl Robinson did the Discus and Javelin in Class B Boys.

The Class B Boys came 4th overall in the Wing. All in all a fine team effort.

Sgt Bagshaw came a disputed 3rd in the Class C Boys 100 metres. At the end of the day the referee's discussion is final!!

There were also fine efforts by Cdt Yardley in the Class C Boys Discus and Javelin and Sgt Gardner in the Senior Girl's 100 metres and Discus. Sgt Bagshaw also competed in the Senior Boy's Long Jump and Javelin.

Cadets Hill and Austen were selected for the Wing athletics team.

Cadet Hill won a bronze in the 100m, Cadet Austen bronze in the Long Jump and they picked up a Silver as part of the Relay team.

Sgt Bagshaw was also selected but his continuing Gliding Scholarship took preference.

Excellent effort, very well done!!
