ATC Sunday Parade
Today, to celebrate the founding of the Air Training Corps on 5 February 1941, cadets from 1582 (Stanford-le-Hope) Squadron Air Cadets and lots of other cadets paraded at St. Clement Dane in London. Below you can see pictures from the parade.

"It was early in the morning when we caught a bus to London. It was a very boring trip for me because I haven’t been on many coach rides and it’s a bit slower than going by car or train. However we talked to each other all the way so we were less bored.
We got to London and went through all the traffic (which wasn’t that bad) until we got to some blocked off roads. We had to wait in the coach while our adult sergeant had a cream cake - and it was just before lunch!
We got into 3 ranks in our wings and formed a long line of cadets, then started to march as the band was playing. It hurt my feet walking that far but I was alright when we got into the church and sat down. We stayed in the church for a couple of hours for the presentation and speeches. We finally got out, marched back to the coach and got on, and left to go back to our squadrons."
